Musical director Janet Wood

Janet believes passionately in the transforming power of singing for individuals and communities. She has been leading workshops and community projects since 1992. Working with people of all ages and abilities in diverse settings. These include schools, children’s centres, community centres, prisons and residential homes.

She believes that singing is everybody’s birthright and that everyone can sing. As well as leading Retford Community Singers, Janet also leads Sheffield Socialist Choir and, as part of her role at Doncaster Community Arts, The Quirky Choir at The Point.

She is a professional singer/songwriter and loves to collaborate with other musicians.
